LUCKNOW: Eid-ul-Azha prayers were offered peacefully across Uttar Pradesh on Thursday amid tight security arrangements, with senior officials monitoring the situation and drones deployed in sensitive locations.
In Lucknow, Sunni community members offered prayers at the Aishbagh Eidgah led by cleric Maulana Khalid Rashidi Farangi Mahali, while Shia community members gathered at the Asafi Mosque in the Bara Imambara complex. Special prayers were offered for peace, prosperity and brotherhood in the country.
Prayers were also held at the Teele Wali Masjid, where devotees prayed for progress and communal harmony.
