KOLKATA: The first full-fledged budget of the government headed by Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari will be presented in the West Bengal assembly on June 22.
The schedule for the upcoming budget session was finalised on Tuesday following meetings chaired by Speaker Rathindra Basu.
After the customary all-party meeting and a Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting, it was announced that the budget session will commence on June 18 with the governor’s address to the House, setting the stage for what is expected to be the first major policy exercise of the new government.
